thursday is a post-hardcore band formed 1997 in new jersey. they've strained a bit from their original sound in the newer albums, so i'll slip in a video of the best old song. it's late and i feel like sleeping so i'm just gonna tell you guys to check them out as soon as you can!

this town needs guns

this town needs guns are a math rock band from oxford, formed in 2004. they released a kickass selftitled ep in 2008, and then later released their debut album animals. in my personal opinion i'd call these guys the emo of math rock, and that is a very positive statement.

for all we know they are still going strong, and they're going to be releasing their album in japan on the 14th of april. good job fellas!

meet me in st. louis

meet me in st. louis was a post-hardcore band from Guildford, formed in 2005 being reliefed of finally having a team of equally talented people to come together and write complex music together. unfortunately, they split up in february 2008 (the bassist eventually joined Colour).

if you're into the odd time signatures and hardcore'ish riffs, this band is something extra.

the blood brothers

these guys were formed in 1997, and they play a kind of experimental post-hardcore. if you ask me, the singing is hardly bearable at first, but when you get used to it it's really awesome. they split up in 2007, having released 5 albums.

the fall of troy is no more

i am very saddened to find out that one of my favourite bands are gonna call it quits. they're gonna do their last US tour, but after that, you won't see them again. official statement from thomas (vocals, guitar) can be found on their website.
